I think the pose was sam because he is in an agument with his father, and he is probly thinking that his father is more mad at him then what he should be.

I would pose as sam because he thinks that his father is mad at him for stealing the brown bess and he probally doesnt want to get into more trouble then he already is in with his father and doesnt want to cause more trouble than he already did. He also probally thinks that his father is upset with him but he just doesnt know how his father really feals.

I would be a patriot, so I would be on Sam's side. I would be a patriot because you should fight for what is right not just the side with the bigger army.The father was just trying to keep Sam alive thats why he got mad not because he did not like Sam.
